Tiger Takedown: Aztec Wrestling Nation Newsletter #8 2019-2019 1/28/2019
On Thursday, the Tigers traveled to Kirtland to start the defense of their District Championship. With a 52-20 win, we were well on our way. With 4 more duals coming up in the near future, our JV won as well 48-12. Then on Friday, the first ever in New Mexico Girl’s Invitational Wrestling Tournament was held in Aztec. Girls from 12 different schools converged in Aztec and after a few hours of wrestling, 6 different ladies were crowned Champions.
On Saturday, the 37th Annual High Desert Credit Union Tiger Duals were both exciting and rewarding. We were 5-0 on the day, winning the dual tournament for a second year. Our Junior Varsity won their version of the Tiger Duals, as well, crowing 5 individual pool winners.
