At the 36th Tiger Duals it was announced just prior to the finals, through the hard work of Justin Hunt and Dr. Toni Pendergrass, that a Scholarship fund was established in the name of Casey and Paco, our fallen students from the December 7th tragedy. The scholarship fund in conjunction with San Juan College will give out 4, $1,000 dollar scholarships. Two will go to a boy and girl from Aztec High School while the other two are open to anyone from San Juan County. It was an emotionally pack moment, as both Casey’s mom and Paco’s dad were in attendance. The emotions rose as Paco's dad said Thank You to the Aztec Community. This was followed by an emotionally charged win by our Aztec Tigers to seal the tournament win.
