Aztec High School had its second week of some action, while the Middle School finalized its short season at Hermosa. With some of its best wrestlers out due to contact tracing, Koogler once again wrestled with only four kids and came away with two champions and two placers. The High School dueled Shiprock for a third district win, by a score of 54-0. Two of our girls went undefeated, at the Bobcat Girls Scramble.

Wrestling News: Bryson Valdez, freshman and 106# defending NM State Champion, competed at the toughest prep wrestling tournament in the nation at Virginia Beach. Competing in the freshmen division, Bryson earned All American honors and placed 7th, with a 6-2 record. He had wins over California, Ohio, Maryland, New York, North Carolina and Missouri.

Events this Week: Bronco Duals in Kirtland on Thursday, wrestling starts at 4pm. The competition will be with Cleveland High School, Farmington High School, Albuquerque Academy High School, Newcomb High School and Kirtland Central.
Saturday in Bernalillo for the Spartan Duals, wrestling starts at 10am. Competition there will include Belen High School. Silver City High School, St. Michaels High School, Bloomfield High School and Bernalillo.
