Aztec Wrestling Nation Newsletter #4 2021 5/3/2021
Aztec High School Wrestling had a productive, yet once again COVID hindered, week. On Thursday, we went to the Bronco Duals in Kirtland, held outdoors, and wrestled 5 other teams. Still giving up 5 weights, and therefore giving whomever we wrestled a 30 point advantage, we were able to come away with a 4-1 record. On Saturday, in Bernalillo, this time missing 6 weights, we came away with a 2-1-1 record. That gave us a 6-2-1 record for the week. Our girls came away unbeaten, at both events. The Youth Wrestling Program, run by Dr. Nate McClain, moved from the YAFL Field to inside our wrestling room last Wednesday. They will be going throughout this month, on Mondays and Wednesdays, from 6-7:30pm.
